Relay for Life

Relay for Life Event is June 12th & 13th 0f 2009 at Conestoga Valley High School

Relay for Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and is held in every state in the nation. This 24 hour walkathon is a unique way to raise money for the American Cancer Society while increasing cancer awareness in the community. During this time, cancer survivors celebrate their victory over cancer with their families, friends, and co-workers, and many people memorialize loved ones lost to cancer.

Angels Among Us

The Lancaster Cancer Center has been affiliated with Relay for Life for seven years. Our team Angels Among Us is composed of physicians, staff and patients. The past four years we have been dedicated to making our tent a learning tool for cancer themes bringing awareness to patients, loved ones and caregivers. We are proud winners of the 2006 Relay for Life, voted the best decorated tent and cancer control information on Lung Cancer.

The Lancaster Cancer Center prides itself on being a great support to our patients and their families. We spend the year doing multiple fundraisers' raising money for our team. Last year we raised over 10,000 dollars granting us the silver medal. We shower our patients with encouragement and roses as they make their first survivor's lap around the race track at Catholic High. This year's choice of cancer control for our tent site is "skin cancer." Please join us for a wonderful experience. Hope to see you at relay.

Lancaster Cancer Center Cookbook

The recipes in this book have been contributed by patients, staff, family, and friends of Lancaster Cancer Center to be used as a fund raising project for our Relay for Life Teams ~ Angels Among Us I and II.

Heavenly Delights is dedicated to all who have been touched by cancer. We honor those who have survived this disease and remember with love those who have lost the battle.

LCC Picnic

The Lancaster Cancer Center 7th and the 8th annual picnic will be held in September of 2009 at the Calvin G. High Pavillion in Lancaster, PA. The date is to be announced. Our patients and their families attend our picnic to share in merriment, fun, great food, camaraderie and laughter. We have lots of games and entertainment for the kids.
