Cancer is a life-changing event. It affects patients, family and friends. Talking and sharing with others on the same journey can help. This support group is offered to patients, families, and loved ones. It will begin with a topic that will be presented to encourage participation.
First and third of every month
6 p.m. light dinner and refreshments provided by Lancaster Cancer Center’s Nutrition Services; group starts at 6:30 p.m.

About the Facilitators
Mary Diskerud earned her undergraduate degree at Towson State University in Maryland and her Master’s in Social work from the University of Maryland. She has worked in the field of behavioral health since 1985 and has spent the early part of her career in an outpatient psychiatric setting which included individual and group counseling. She has also led several therapeutic groups. Mary uses a client centered approach and provides a safe and therapeutic environment.
Gina received her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University and her Master’s degree in social work from Temple University. As a Licensed Social Worker, she will assist in leading the group by providing techniques designed to promote healthy coping skills and to enhance overall well-being.
