Your First Visit

Lancaster Cancer Center front desk check-in

Your initial consultation with your medical oncologist is a comprehensive evaluation of your history and medical records. It may last up to an hour or longer. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to have your questions answered. We strongly encourage loved ones, caregivers, and family members to be in attendance with the patient at this appointment.

Please plan to arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

At Lancaster Cancer Center, we offer interpreting services at no cost to you:

  • Face-to-face Spanish interpreting from our staff
  • Telephone interpreting for other languages using Avante Language Services by calling 215-885-3575

At Lancaster Cancer Center, we make every effort to adhere to our daily appointment schedule; however, due to the nature of our practice, we provide as much education and time with patients and their loved ones as needed. The same courtesy is extended to every patient.

Payment is expected at time of each visit. We participate in most insurance programs; however, a physician referral may be needed prior to being seen. We also accept cash, check, debit or credit card payments.

Effective July 1, 2025, Lancaster Cancer Center will implement a 3% processing fee on all payments made using credit cards. This fee is necessary to offset the rising costs associated with credit card processing. It will apply to all credit card transactions, including payments for services, procedures, and medications. Payments made by cash, check, or debit card will not incur this fee.

Office visits are by appointment only. Appointments are scheduled after initial consultation and thereafter throughout treatment. If you need to cancel, please notify the office 24-hours prior to your appointment time.

To make an appointment or to reschedule, please call 717.291.1313 option 3.

“Thank you for making your new facility a comfortable and welcoming place for all who
enter the front doors. You are all so kind and thoughtful. This Thanksgiving I give thanks
for having you on my team.”

–A grateful patient
