Same Trusted Cancer Care in a New Location
Lancaster Cancer Center has relocated its oncology and hematology practice to 703 Lampeter Road, Lancaster.
“Covid presented a number of challenges, but we remained steadfast in providing our patients with a safe and caring environment for their treatment. In the early stages of the pandemic, we were often meeting extended family members in the parking lot to discuss their loved one’s care. We never closed and put the necessary protocols in place to keep our patients and our staff safe. These changes led to improved patient care and when the opportunity to purchase our own building presented itself, we seized it”, said physician and practice owner, Hyatt P. (Tracy) DeGreen III, DO.
The new 9,000 square foot Center has been thoroughly planned with our patients’ comfort and wellness in mind. The facility features a private, covered entrance for patients to enter easily and avoid weather; plenty of convenient, free parking; and a tranquil outdoor space including a dedicated Healing Garden presented by the Healing Journey Foundation.
The building underwent extensive renovations to accommodate an on-site highly complex (CLIA) laboratory and medically integrated dispensary, a dedicated infusion treatment suite featuring large windows for patients to enjoy the natural light, a state-of-the-art ISO 7 certified clean room for preparing and storing chemotherapy medications, a dedicated patient education space where nurses provide teaching and important information for patients, and a spacious waiting room featuring a custom-designed mural presented by the Healing Journey Foundation; all designed to improve the patient experience, efficiency, and safety.
The new location is also home to the Healing Journey Foundation, a non-profit (501 c 3) organization developed from the vision of Lancaster Cancer Center to provide Care Beyond Treatment and serves as an advocate to help cancer patients on their journey. Free to Lancaster Cancer Center patients, their families, and the community; programs are designed to educate, inspire, and empower. The Healing Journey Foundation also offers ways to honor and memorialize loved ones affected by cancer.
